UMIGARI is a first-person fishing game set in misty waters near Japan.
Players use a harpoon to catch fish, then trade the catch for money to purchase fuel and improve the boat. Upgrades include greater speed and fuel capacity, allowing travel farther into unexplored waters, where islands and hidden treasures can be found. Additional equipment is placed throughout the world and can support fishing. Some fish respond to the player’s actions. Exploration also changes the kinds of fish encountered, with stranger creatures appearing farther from shore. The game takes an estimated 2–4 hours to complete and has very light horror. It supports gameplay videos, streaming, and other broadcast content.
