Our take on TROUBLE JUICE
The tournament broadcast and galaxy-wide championship provide the framing, while the described play centers on short shooter runs, upgrade choices, stamina-based abilities, and achievement-board unlocks.
What is TROUBLE JUICE?
TROUBLE JUICE is a side-scrolling shooter roguelike set in a televised tournament broadcast across the universe.
Runs are short and focused on action. Characters have individual special abilities that use stamina. Juice Guy sells juices that can change a gun, mobility, health, and other attributes, letting players try different combinations. Shooting Juice Guy can provide health, though he cannot die and remembers the attack. An achievement board offers another progression path: completing a row, column, or diagonal unlocks juices, characters, and alternate costumes. Clearing the whole board is an additional challenge.

TROUBLE JUICE compared to similar games
Sundered: Eldritch Edition is described as a chaotic metroidvania, with its focus on that genre's action rather than TROUBLE JUICE's tournament setting and achievement-board unlocks. Abyssus centers on multiplayer shooting through hand-crafted levels and modifying brine-powered weapons; TROUBLE JUICE instead describes short runs, character abilities, and upgrade purchases from Juice Guy.
