Our take on Trouble Comes Twice
The defining structure is a dating contest between twins: each races to secure a boyfriend or girlfriend first, with separate protagonists, routes, and outcomes shaping the competition.
What is Trouble Comes Twice?
Play as twins Hazel and Jace, two twenty-somethings who have never had a serious relationship.
After making a bet, they compete to find a boyfriend or girlfriend before the other twin does. Each protagonist has distinct personalities, interests, and relationships with the available love interests. The visual novel includes four romance options, eight routes, and 16 endings, including different dramatic and romantic outcomes. Completing both endings for a route unlocks an epilogue. The game also contains more than 40 CG illustrations and nine chibi illustrations.
How Trouble Comes Twice plays
- 01Dual Protagonists
- Hazel and Jace have separate personalities, interests, and dynamics with the romance options.
- 02Multiple Romance Routes
- Four love interests support eight routes that can be played through either twin.
- 03Sixteen Endings
- Finishing both endings on a route opens an additional epilogue.
- 04Illustrated Storytelling
- The visual novel includes over 40 CG illustrations and nine chibi illustrations.
