Our take on Treasures of the Aegean
Players who enjoy exploration but dislike repeated routes may bounce when the time loop resets the island. The main wall arrives when progress depends on retaining information across cycles and applying it to puzzles rather than simply moving forward.
What is Treasures of the Aegean?
Treasures of the Aegean follows parkour specialist Marie Taylor and historian James Andrew as they investigate the disappearance of the Minoan civilization.
The hand-drawn, non-linear island of Thera contains relics, clues, riddles, a lost citadel, a submerged Ottoman fleet, and an underground palace. Each loop brings new information while a persistent map records discoveries, allowing the pair to investigate the coming cataclysm and an ancient prophecy. Movement combines surfing down slopes, climbing walls, vaulting obstacles, swinging on vines, and jumping across pits. The game combines exploration, puzzle solving, historical thriller storytelling, and an atmospheric soundtrack, with hundreds of treasures to find and rivals who complicate the investigation.
