Our take on Trappist
The focused colony-building format leaves out money systems and road placement, keeping attention on resources, construction, and story. Its current campaign is also bounded at 10–15 hours or more, while further stories and locations remain planned rather than included.
What is Trappist?
Trappist is a story-driven colony-building strategy game set in the Trappist-1 system.
Players pilot the Ark, a movable colony and trading hub, while surveying planets and moons for settlement sites. Colonies use distinct buildings and resources, with cargo ships moving materials between manufacturing and population centers. Automated trade routes connect colonies and the Ark into production chains. The game includes six colony sites across the Ark, two planets, and two moons, along with more than 50 buildings and over two dozen resources. Alien artifacts, story segments, robots, grid or gridless construction, configurable controls, and different starting conditions shape the campaign. Current stories take 10–15 hours or more to complete, with additional content planned.
