Our take on Train Town
Players looking for a tightly directed train campaign may bounce off when Create Mode and Driver Mode leave the activity open-ended. Those who want careful route operation may also hit a wall when collisions, explosions, and destruction become part of the driving.
What is Train Town?
Train Town is a free-form train game with two modes.
In Create Mode, place buildings, trees, rocks, roads, cars, characters, and train tracks to make a town. In Driver Mode, choose trains and explore the world by following their routes. Change speed to navigate around cars, characters, and other trains, or crash through objects and trigger explosions. Players can switch between trains, adjust camera angles, and zoom in or out. Creations can be shared online, and towns made by other players can be downloaded. The game uses colorful 3D cartoon visuals and includes its mobile content packs without in-app purchases.
How Train Town plays
- 01Town building
- Create Mode lets players arrange scenery, roads, vehicles, characters, and tracks.
- 02Train driving
- Driver Mode supports changing speed while moving through a player-built town.
- 03Crash physics
- Trains can collide with objects, including gas bottles and tanks that explode.
- 04Shared towns
- Players can upload their creations and download worlds made by others.
