Instead of making projectile avoidance only a survival task, the game turns grazing and bullet clearing into resource-generating actions. Its dream-point gauge converts those maneuvers into fragments that provide bombs or extra lives.
What is 東方幻夢箋 ~ Touhou Phantasm Dream?
Play as one of three groups of girls in a Touhou bullet-hell story about a nightmare spreading across Gensokyo.
Each group provides a different control experience, while Remilia and Flandre Scarlet become involved in the incident. Dodge projectiles, collect useful items, and defeat enemies. Grazing bullets, collecting cards, and clearing bullets add dream points to a gauge. Each full gauge awards a fragment, and four fragments grant either a bomb or an extra life.
The first three drops in each cycle provide bomb fragments; the fourth provides an extra-life fragment. The gauge begins with a capacity of 1,000 points and gains 100 capacity after each fragment. Missing halves the dream points currently held. Chinese voice acting accompanies the music, character art, and backgrounds.
