The game includes a Cross Menu for character commands, three selectable game speeds, adjustable UI size, and movable mini-map placement. More than 120 Touhou characters appear as allies and enemies, with many involved in story campaigns. The main story follows Reimu Hakurei and Kasen Ibaraki as they investigate a mysterious tower and a conflict involving the Gold Sphere.
