Our take on Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six® 3 Gold
Rather than treating missions as immediate first-person firefights, the game places squad selection, equipment choices, and assault planning before the action. The first-person phase then executes that preparation through control of one or three squads.
What is Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six® 3 Gold?
Direct a multinational counter-terrorism team through operations in England, Norway, the Caribbean, Rio de Janeiro, Italy, Croatia, and Greece.
Choose personnel and equip them with armor, firearms, and advanced mission gear before plotting each unit’s route on a tactical map. During first-person missions, clear buildings, extract hostages, disarm explosives, and retrieve intelligence. Command may be issued to a single unit or distributed among three using radio instructions and signals. The package contains an eight-operation campaign, three revised missions from earlier games, seven extra firearms for 64 in total, five competitive maps, and three multiplayer formats. Online multiplayer and cooperative modes became unavailable in August 2016.
