Our take on Timeshift
The game concentrates its design on momentum, time warping, and rotation, trading broader platforming variety for a tightly focused movement system. Its fixed set of 6 levels also limits the overall campaign scope, while 20 coins per level add optional collection goals.
What is Timeshift?
Timeshift is a puzzle-platformer set in the Rift, a canyon no one has escaped.
As Quinn, players must navigate physics-based obstacles using time travel and momentum. They can record a position and return to it later, bringing their existing momentum through the jump in time. Rotating in any direction adds another dimension to movement and solving puzzles. The game includes six stages with 20 hidden coins in each, totaling 120 collectibles.
How Timeshift plays
- 01Position Warping
- Players can mark a location and return to it later while preserving their current momentum.
- 02Free Rotation
- Movement puzzles incorporate rotation in any direction.
- 03Secret Coin Hunt
- Each of the 6 levels contains 20 hidden coins to find.
Timeshift compared to similar games

Jusant centers on climbing tools, stamina management, exploration, and discovering paths on a tower. Sundered: Eldritch Edition is a chaotic metroidvania, while SUPER CHICKEN JUMPER combines runner gameplay with shooting.
