Our take on Timeloop: Sink Again Beach
Players who need a clear, linear route may hit a wall when the chronology begins to depend on their choices. The game asks them to piece together events across time and navigate the island’s ambiguous residents, rather than follow a straightforward sequence toward the ending.
What is Timeloop: Sink Again Beach?
Jack arrives on Death Island to scatter his friend Donald’s ashes, but finds that leaving will not be simple.
This single-player first-person pirate adventure combines action, puzzles, and time travel as players explore the island, investigate its residents, and work out how Jack can escape. The story unfolds nonlinearly, and the order of events depends on the player. Past and present interact, including through an enemy who is Jack himself from the past. The game has several endings and takes 2–4 hours to complete. Death is not possible, but disrupting the space-time continuum sends the player back to a checkpoint. The island has a stylized visual presentation and voiced characters.
