Its defining structure is the combination of short enemy waves with timeline manipulation: Time Cubes let players reroll choices or compress upgrade time, while Space Cubes carry selected progression into later runs.
What is Time Wasters?
Time Wasters is a space shooter roguelite built around short enemy waves.
Ships move quickly, use automatic weapons, and can switch to manual aiming. Weapons and primary systems can be upgraded, with Captains offering distinct upgrade paths and transformations into Super Weapons. Players collect Gold for immediate improvements, defeat Elites, and gather Time Cubes to reroll choices or accelerate upgrades through the Time Cube Shop. Space Cubes provide progression between runs, including developed Outposts and upgraded Captains at the start of a run. Outposts grant bonuses when established and defended. Each Captain has a Loyalty Challenge, and the game includes an Endless Mode.
