Our take on Space Merchants: Arena
The brief pitch centers on dogfights, modes, and maps, while the fuller scope also includes AI training, equipment progression, hacking, and an outpost minigame. Those systems materially shape the game beyond its initial arcade-combat framing.
What is Space Merchants: Arena?
Space Merchants: Arena is an online multiplayer spaceship combat game with cross-platform matches.
Players can enter free-for-all battles for 2–10 participants, team fights with up to 5 players per side, or Capture the Artefact matches. Four maps support different objectives, including score gains from eliminations, holding a central area, and delivering an artefact. A training arena pits players against AI opponents, with reduced experience and money rewards. Battles provide experience and currency for improving ships, weapons, shields, and armour. Players can use bonuses, hack turrets, interfere with enemy controls, and develop ship AI skills through use. The game also includes player-built outposts, online leaderboards, 23 achievements, six Steam Trading Cards, and profile transfer between devices or platforms.
