Our take on Time in Time
Instead of treating time as a background resource, the game makes it the control system for platforms and other mechanisms. Progress depends on spending seconds strategically, with completion targets and minimum-time goals replacing a more conventional platforming flow.
What is Time in Time?
Time in Time is a side-scrolling puzzle-platformer built around timers.
The player controls platforms and other functional elements, each linked to its own timer. Spending time on a timer delays that element’s operation by the same number of seconds. Every level provides a specific amount of time, which must be allocated carefully. Completing stages requires using the minimum number of seconds and finishing within set time limits; doing so unlocks further levels and achievements. The game also includes an integrated level and shader editor connected to Steam Workshop. Custom content can include new levels, shader changes, music, and shader effects synchronized with music.
How Time in Time plays
- 01Timer-Based Mechanics
- Each platform or other functional element activates after a delay determined by time spent on its linked timer.
- 02Timed Level Goals
- Stages require completing objectives within specified times while using as few seconds as possible.
- 03Integrated Editors
- The tools support custom levels, shader modifications, music, and synchronization between shaders and music.
- 04Steam Workshop Support
- Created levels and related content can be connected to Steam Workshop.
