Our take on The World After
The listing foregrounds the filmed presentation and mystery setup, but the playable scope is a compact point-and-click investigation built around 32 environments, 11 logs, and three endings. The unlockable visual novel is presented as an additional component rather than part of the core adventure.
What is The World After?
Set during a pandemic lockdown in France, this full-motion-video adventure follows Vincent, a writer who leaves the city to work on a book.
Strange recurring dreams lead him to investigate the mystery surrounding his village and an old castle. The game combines point-and-click mechanics with filmed sequences and lets Vincent switch between night and day while avoiding the Nightwatcher. The story explores the Tannhäuser Gate, cryptic messages, and the identity of the monster. It includes 32 environments, 11 secret logs, an original soundtrack, and three different endings. A visual novel is also available as an unlockable bonus.
