Our take on The VII Enigma
Rather than using a fully open branching structure, the game keeps its plot mostly linear and concentrates divergence in individual decisions that determine bad, normal, or true endings. Its mystery framework also combines time travel with visual-novel narration, battle scenes, and an in-game clue archive.
What is The VII Enigma?
Investigate a science-fiction mystery set in 2060, where Dr Elijah Shaw wakes without clear memories and carrying a mysterious orb.
After an interrogation by the Bureau, a totalitarian faction, he is rescued by rebels seeking answers about his past and the regime’s control. The story combines time travel, psychological themes, action, plot reversals, and character-focused drama. Its mostly linear structure uses decisions at important moments to reach bad, normal, or one true ending. The game includes an in-game reference collection for assembling clues, third-person limited narration, side imagery, over 250 background scenes, and more than 30 original soundtrack pieces. Reading times range from 8–12 hours for a speed reader to 20+ hours for all endings.
