Our take on THE UNCLEARNESS
Its defining structure is a fixed detective investigation set across five socially divided zones in a flooded 2097, with action mechanics layered onto the case.
What is THE UNCLEARNESS?
Take the role of private investigator Stan Ingram and examine a suspected suicide in 2097.
Flooding has left the survivors in five zones: Green, Blue, Grey, Red, and Black, each associated with different living conditions. The narrative follows a set path, with no way to alter its progression. After the second mission, the game opens several settings, among them urban streets, factories, docks, a jail, an abattoir, a drinking venue, a nightclub, a hotel, apartments, a mental health facility, and a morgue. Play involves shooting, sneaking, driving, slowing time, and forcing locks.
Scattered notes add background to the story, and key cards grant access through locked doors. The interface displays ammunition and shows damage with a red screen effect; while driving, it also indicates vehicle speed. Stan meets Jessica, Sanmdi, Scorpio, Dr. Kriss, Michelle, a bartender, and Psycho.
