Our take on The Solus Project
Rather than centering combat or a growing character build, this adventure makes isolation, environmental hazards, hidden areas, and alien-world investigation its main structure. Its linear journey is paired with extensive optional discovery, while survival conditions and dynamic climate systems replace the usual focus on enemy encounters.
What is The Solus Project?
Explore Gliese-6143-C after a spacecraft crash leaves the player alone on a harsh alien planet.
The game combines environmental puzzles, resource scavenging, survival conditions, and mystery-driven exploration across 10 handcrafted levels: five islands and five tombs or cave systems. Dynamic weather, temperature, humidity, tides, storms, earthquakes, plant growth, and day-night changes affect the world. The adventure follows a linear path with a defined beginning and ending, while hundreds of hidden areas, secrets, upgrades, and wreckage sites provide optional discoveries. Players rebuild a communication device, investigate an earlier alien civilization, and travel between islands through underground caverns. The game supports non-VR play and VR with Vive or Oculus, including room-scale movement and motion controllers.
