Play it if you…

- Solo players who enjoy endless survival runs with progressively stronger enemies
- Players who like upgrading vehicles and searching for hidden content
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a historically grounded World War II campaign may bounce off the lasers, mutants, and occult elements.
- Players wanting a calm or fixed-difficulty experience may hit a wall in survival mode, enemy mutations, and night missions.
- Players looking for infantry-focused combat may not find the tank-command structure suitable.
Our take on The Red Front
The bounce point arrives when the alternate-history layer becomes central: hidden technology, mutants, occult projects, and enemy mutations move the game away from conventional World War II combat. Players seeking historical military simulation may lose interest at that stage.
What is The Red Front?
Set in an alternate December 1941, the game casts the player as a Soviet tank commander defending Moscow against the advancing Nazi forces.
Missions follow a route from Moscow to Berlin, with allies joining the changing battlefield. Survival mode sends increasingly stronger Nazi soldiers in an endless assault. Rubles earned in combat can be spent in the Workshop on shields, weapon improvements, and other bonuses. Enemy mutations can make soldiers move and shoot faster. Missions include night variants, variable weather such as rain, snow, and storms, and hidden Soviet and Nazi technologies involving lasers, mutants, and occult projects. Finding all concealed items opens a secret level. The game also includes 34 achievements and score-based progression.
