Our take on Desert Thunder
The arcade focus keeps the game centered on direct tank action, but gives up the broader role variety and simulation detail found in games built around multiple characters, vehicles, or slower exploration.
What is Desert Thunder?
Play an arcade-style tank combat game set amid a desert war.
As commander of a classified M1A6 experimental unit, direct the northern sector of Operation Desert Thunder after the plan is exposed and most of the battalion is lost. Fight across desert, city, and industrial locations using the tank’s armament and reinforced hull. The campaign concerns an attempt to remove a terrorist group that has seized control of a peaceful Middle Eastern nation. With the unit reduced, the mission continues toward the capital, where allied troops await coordination. This PC game focuses on direct armored combat within a military campaign.
