We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Strategy players who want short, high-pressure decision windows

Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who prefer relaxed turns may hit a wall when each turn is limited to two minutes.
- Players seeking predictable layouts may dislike boards that change between games through random generation, dice, and AI behavior.
- Players looking for a conventional solo adventure may find the multiplayer modes and competitive objectives central to the experience.
Our take on The Living Dungeon
The bounce point is the two-minute turn timer: players must choose five actions while threats, opponents, and dungeon effects compete for attention. Those who need time to study a board or plan several moves may stall before completing an objective.
What is The Living Dungeon?
The Living Dungeon is a tactical dungeon board-game adventure built around five actions per turn and a two-minute decision limit.
Players navigate randomly generated boards while facing other adventurers, monsters, dice, artificial intelligence behaviors, and dungeon manipulation. Combat, agility, and environmental tactics provide different ways to pursue objectives or eliminate opponents. The game includes a 30-hour story campaign and four multiplayer modes: Assassination, Head Hunter, Random Assassination, and Escape. Multiplayer supports up to nine players using one controller, with characters able to switch temporarily to AI control when someone leaves. Boards can use either a hostile dungeon presentation or a tavern board-game style.
