We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Players interested in managing a martial-arts family in a historical setting
- Strategy players who want to recruit disciples and develop their skills
- Players who enjoy making choices during events and carrying master progression between runs
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a large range of martial-arts disciplines may find the system narrow, with up to 6 Wuxue-Arts types.
- Players who want many skill-building paths may find disciple development constrained to one skill at level three or three skills at level one.
- Players looking for a visually polished presentation may be put off by the creator's stated dissatisfaction with the game's art.
Our take on The Last Wulin
The focus on family management and disciple development comes with constrained character builds: each disciple can deepen one skill or spread training across three. That structure limits how freely individual disciples can combine skill levels.
What is The Last Wulin?
Set in the late Ming Dynasty, this strategy game puts the player in charge of a wulin family.
Build the family, acquire Wuxue-Arts and recruit disciples. The arts have up to 6 types, each with characteristics and skills that can be learned through training. Disciples can develop one skill to level three or three skills to level one. Events present choices, while the master's skills can be improved using experience earned when a game ends, carrying progression into another run. A manual mode is also available for play as a strategy game.
How The Last Wulin plays

- 02Master progression
