Rather than using an adventure structure built around combat or travel across varied locations, The Journey turns the human body into its setting. Progress comes through investigation, factual discovery, clue hunting, and quizzes, giving the genre an educational and scientific focus.
What is The Journey?
The Journey is a virtual reality scientific adventure set inside the human body.
A future species investigates one of the few remaining human specimens to understand how the earlier species functioned and what caused its decline. Tex acts as a personal guide during the exploration. The experience places the player in a miniature bodily environment, where curiosity leads to discoveries. Clues must be found and quizzes solved to progress. The Knowledge Room contains facts about the human body for access during the experience. New information can be added locally in an alpha feature intended for new players. The game runs on Windows and supports HTC Vive.
