What is The Hike?
The Hike is a first-person horror and survival game about experienced hiker John Lake, who goes to investigate an emergency broadcast in Red River National Park.
The message is connected to a breach at the Red River Mental Hospital, where patients escaped after a riot. With no fighting role, survival depends on running and using a flashlight in the dark. Puzzles provide obstacles to solve while escaping, and discoveries along the way reveal what happened in the woods. The game centers on a hike that turns into an attempt to get back to society.
