Our take on The Highrise
The store presentation gives substantial space to the tower’s atmosphere and survival systems, but the core objective is narrower: reach the rescue signal. The large building, character roster, and multiplayer options sit around that repeated scavenging-and-descent loop rather than indicating a broad narrative campaign.
What is The Highrise?
A first-person survival game unfolds in a locked-down tower following an extraterrestrial attack.
Players salvage materials throughout the structure, dismantle furnishings for components, and craft gear for preparing food, cleaning water, fighting, and sneaking past threats. Managing hunger, dehydration, and illness from spoiled food is essential. The creatures hunt by sensing motion, odors, and noise. Descending deeper brings richer supplies alongside larger numbers of tougher foes. Air ducts offer a less dangerous way to travel between sections. Six selectable survivors differ in attributes and passive skills. Solo play, multiplayer with as many as 4 participants, and custom sessions accommodating up to 8 are available. Sandbox, Survival, and Custom modes alter resources, lives, and challenge settings.
