Our take on The Guard
The page presents the setting and horror premise prominently, but the described play centers on a limited set of actions: moving through rooms, locating keys, gathering flashlight batteries, examining items, and investigating noises. The emphasis is atmospheric exploration rather than a wide range of systems.
What is The Guard?
Take the night shift at a mall after a partner disappears.
Explore the mall and its rooms, listen for recurring noises, and investigate their origin while searching for the missing partner. Find keys to open locked rooms and collect batteries for a flashlight during the investigation. The first-person game includes horror elements, with darkness concealing mysteries in the environment. F activates the flashlight, Tab opens the inventory, and WASD controls movement. The left mouse button picks up items, while the right mouse button examines them.
