Our take on The Endless Mission
Its defining idea is the Lenses system: gameplay properties can be changed during play, making experimentation part of both playing and creating.
What is The Endless Mission?
The Endless Mission combines an adventure mode with a game-creation sandbox.
Players move through an expanding selection of genres, including platforming and real-time strategy, while using Lenses to alter properties such as movement speed, health, and enemy awareness during play. The Editor allows levels and game assets to be changed and assembled into new creations. Finished games can be uploaded to a content portal for others to play, with selected works appearing in the Hall of Celebration. The game launched with platformer and RTS content, and its Early Access plans listed a kart racer, multiplayer creation and play, and an integrated learning pathway.
