Our take on The Caligula Effect 2
Players seeking immediate combat may bounce off the early emphasis on uncovering Redo’s premise and the club members’ hidden histories. The main wall arrives when progression requires reading chats, pursuing quests, and interpreting personal connections alongside turn-based battles.
What is The Caligula Effect 2?
The Caligula Effect 2 is a school-themed RPG set in Redo, a virtual world created from people’s regrets.
The protagonist awakens to its false nature and forms the Go-Home Club with companions seeking reality. Their redone identities conceal difficult personal histories, which unfold through character stories, conversations, and quests. Battles use turn-based actions with Imaginary Chain, allowing the party to preview selected moves and coordinate attacks or defensive support. Under certain conditions, χ-Jack lets the virtuadoll χ influence the battlefield through different songs. WIRE provides group and private chats, while the Causality Link connects residents’ problems with hidden truths about their relationships and real selves.
