We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Puzzle players who enjoy manipulating space and perspective
- Explorers who want first-person traversal through unusual environments
- Players interested in gravity-based movement and midair navigation
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who prefer straightforward room layouts may hit a wall when solutions continue through mirrors and across reflected spaces.
- Players who dislike changing movement rules may struggle when gravity or objects differ on the other side of a mirror.
- Players seeking puzzles without first-person traversal may find the movement system too central to the experience.
Our take on The Art of Reflection
The bounce point arrives when a puzzle leaves the room where it begins. Players must recognize the matching structure on the mirror's other side, then combine passage through the surface, altered gravity, and midair redirection to continue.
What is The Art of Reflection?
This first-person puzzle game builds its challenges around mirrors that function as pathways through space.
A snap-zoom ability allows movement through reflective surfaces, rapid travel across wide gaps, midair redirection, and slowed movement. Challenges can extend from an interior room to the inverted exterior of that building. On the far side, gravity and object placement may change, making familiar routes require new solutions. Set in a large, maze-like world, the game invites exploration of concealed areas. Progress comes from following reflected routes, shifting viewpoints, and understanding how connected spaces relate to one another through the mirrors.
How The Art of Reflection plays
- 01Mirror Traversal
- The snap-zoom tool lets players pass through reflective surfaces and cover long distances.
- 02Altered Gravity
- Gravity may change after crossing to the other side of a mirror, enabling upside-down movement.
- 03Midair Redirection
- The movement system supports changing direction while airborne in slow motion.
- 04Reflected Path Puzzles
- Some challenges connect a room with the inverted exterior or reverse side of the same structure.
- 05Hidden Area Exploration
- The labyrinthine environment includes concealed corners for players to uncover.
The Art of Reflection compared to similar games
