Set in San Francisco in 2033, this adventure follows Tex Murphy, a private investigator hired to investigate a university professor’s death.
The case expands as several prominent scientists also die, bringing intelligence officials, a surveillance executive, the professor’s daughter, and a Detroit hit man into the investigation. More than 27 digitized animated characters respond to questions, bribes, and threats. Players search offices, warehouses, and factories for evidence using a tree-based system instead of typed commands. A Lotus Speeder provides travel to major cities along the West Coast through a 3-D flight simulator. The game also features VGA graphics, RealSound, and characters who speak and answer questions.
