Our take on Tetraphobia
Rather than keeping dungeon-crawling action underground, Tetraphobia shifts its runs to floating islands. Its bow also changes between two forms, while rescued characters and artefact trades can alter later choices within a run.
What is Tetraphobia?
Tetraphobia is an action roguelite in which Trixx, a treasure-hunting rogue, fights through procedurally generated floating islands.
The bow switches between a shortbow for close-range attacks and a longbow that fires armour-piercing charged shots. Runs take Trixx through different realms containing distinct enemies, bosses and artefacts, with four Titans guarding realms. Artefacts, modifiers and secrets can change a run’s options, and an airship island lets players trade artefacts that do not suit the current build. Rescuing people affected by their fears unlocks access to advanced artefacts and modifiers, as well as challenges and quests with rewards. Cat treats can increase the chance of finding extra loot from Trixx’s cat companion, Reno.
