AdventureIs Terraformental worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Players who want story-led survival exploration with incremental progression
- Fans of time-loop games who enjoy improving routes and actions through repetition
- Players who prefer resource decisions and non-linear investigation over fixed exploration order
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking unrestricted character growth may find the capped speed and strength improvements limiting.
- Players wanting constantly new actions may find repeated loops and resource routines too repetitive.
- Players who prefer a linear sequence of locations may not enjoy choosing which facility to visit next.
Our take on Terraformental
The loop structure makes repeated actions increasingly efficient, but improvement has a ceiling. Once physical gains stop, progress depends on finding different solutions to the planet’s problems rather than continuing to optimize the same routine.
What is Terraformental?
Terraformental is a narrative-driven incremental adventure set in a ruined terraforming facility on an unknown planet.
After waking without memories, the player searches for air, water, and food while investigating the fate of the colonists and the reason for their abandonment. Death resets the character to the initial awakening, but repeated actions become faster over successive loops, up to defined limits. Grouping completed actions can create combined actions with further efficiency gains. Survival and exploration require choosing which resources to carry and when to use them. Multiple facilities across the planet contain different challenges, and they can be visited in any order as new routes and solutions become available.
How Terraformental plays
- 01Time-Loop Progression
- Dying returns the character to the starting moment while repeated actions gradually take less time.
- 02Resource Management
- Air, water, and food must be prioritized because carrying everything at once is not possible.
- 03Combined Actions
- Repeatedly completing action groups eventually merges them into faster, more efficient actions.
- 04Open Facility Order
- The planet’s terraforming facilities can be explored in different sequences after their locations and routes are learned.
