Our take on TERMINAL VR
The focus on compact VR combat modes limits the experience’s broader adventure structure. Players get varied survival scenarios, but the design gives up a sustained campaign flow in favor of evacuation runs, hazard-dodging challenges, and wave-based defense.
What is TERMINAL VR?
TERMINAL VR is a virtual reality action game set during Earth's final descent into an Armageddon marked by extreme weather, widespread destruction, and an infectious threat.
Rush mode sends players on foot through varied environments toward an evacuation rendezvous while managing limited equipment and support. Arcade mode combines survival against hazardous weather with infected attacks and debris that must be dodged. Holdout mode focuses on defending a position against waves of infected, using ranged weapons, explosives, slow-time abilities, and sprinting. Melee combat is included as a feature, alongside snap turning, free rotation, resolution control, and graphics settings. Two additional modes, The Pit and Arena, are presented as planned additions.
