Our take on Tasty Blue
The simple eat-and-grow structure keeps the central action clear, but it leaves less room for complex combat, exploration, or character development. Shared-screen co-op also trades independent movement space for a larger common view.
What is Tasty Blue?
Tasty Blue is an underwater side-scrolling action game built around eating prey and growing larger.
The story begins with a goldfish escaping into the ocean after being overfed, followed by a dolphin fleeing an aquarium and a shark created to consume matter with self-replicating nanotechnology. The main story contains over 50 levels, with 15 additional bonus levels after completion. Play takes place across temperate, tropical, and arctic environments. Difficulty settings range from enemies causing almost no damage to enemies that can eat the player and end a level immediately. Carnage Mode adjusts blood effects, and local two-player play supports split or shared screens.
