Our take on Tanklike
Tanklike replaces the usual character-based shooter setup with tank-on-tank combat and ricochet-driven attacks. Its progression also connects combat to an in-game level editor, pairing arena play with the creation and testing of rooms.
What is Tanklike?
Tanklike is a cooperative 2D shooter for one to four players, centered on tank combat across a large set of arenas.
Players steer tanks, ricochet bullets, and improve their stats or arsenal after victories by selecting upgrades and new abilities. The game uses an ever-changing dungeon structure, with each room built through the in-game level editor. That editor supports creating and testing levels. Combat focuses on positioning tanks and directing shots while moving through the arenas.
How Tanklike plays
- 01Four-player cooperation
- The shooter supports cooperative play for groups of one to four participants.
- 02Ricochet-based shooting
- Players angle tank shots while navigating each arena.
- 03Post-victory upgrades
- Victories provide choices for improving tank statistics, weaponry, and abilities.
- 04In-game level editor
- Rooms can be created and tested with the included editor.
Tanklike compared to similar games
