Our take on Tank Quest
Its defining structure is a tank shooter split into missions: clearing every enemy advances the stage, while losing all lives sends the player back to the level's start.
What is Tank Quest?
Tank Quest is a top-down twin-stick shooter in which a selected animal pilots a tank through levels divided into missions.
Players can go alone or join local co-op, using unlimited bullets and collecting mines and missiles during combat. Each mission requires defeating all enemies before progress continues. Losing all lives during a level sends the run back to that level's beginning. Unlocked characters and levels are selected from the level map, with the latest completed level opening the next one. The game also includes an optional local Deathmatch mode for last-player-standing battles between local players. New levels introduce different locations and enemies, including scary beasts.
How Tank Quest plays
- 01Twin-stick tank combat
- Movement uses the left stick or WASD, while aiming uses the right stick or mouse.
- 02Mission-based levels
- Each level contains several missions, and every enemy must be defeated to advance.
- 03Local co-op play
- Friends can join the same local session to tackle levels together.
- 04Secondary weapon pickups
- Mines and missiles appear during missions alongside the tank's unlimited standard ammunition.
- 05Local Deathmatch
- An optional mode supports last-player-standing fights between local players.
- 06Level map progression
- Completing the newest available stage opens the next location on the map.
