ActionIs Arcade Classics worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Arcade fans who want a collection of distinct arcade challenges rather than a single game format
- Score chasers who enjoy repeating stages to try to beat personal highs
- Players who prefer brief action games with selectable ships, tanks, or paddle-and-ball combinations
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a story-driven campaign may find the collection's focus on repeated arcade waves and brick clearing too limited.
- Players who want a steady difficulty level may hit a wall as action speeds up, enemies grow more aggressive, and powerups and extra lives become rarer.
- Players looking for extensive vehicle or loadout customization may find the selection limited to the stated ship, tank, and paddle-and-ball choices.
Our take on Arcade Classics
The bounce point comes as stages accelerate: enemies grow more aggressive while powerups and extra lives become rarer. Players who need frequent recovery options may hit that difficulty shift before high-score attempts or achievement hunting become their focus.
What is Arcade Classics?
This arcade collection includes three pixel-art games with an accompanying soundtrack.
Astro Impact sends players through asteroid and spaceship waves using one of three vessels, each with its own abilities. Brick Smash involves removing formations with two paddle-and-ball setups; certain bricks detonate, while one powerup inverts movement controls. Alien Assault places players in a tank defending against alien waves, offering two vehicles that differ between agility and cannon force. Progression raises the pace, makes opponents tougher, and reduces the appearance of powerups and additional lives. High-score attempts and achievements provide extra goals.
