Our take on Tales of Lagoona
The focus on hidden-object searching supports a large collection of scenes, quests, and minigames, but leaves less room for combat or complex character development. Progress centers on searches, sales, gems, and orphanage improvements rather than a deeper role-playing system.
What is Tales of Lagoona?
Tales of Lagoona follows Islabelle the Mermaid as she works to save New Anemone Orphanage in the underwater town of Coral Bay.
Players search underwater locations for thousands of objects, sell found items at Darby’s market, and take on quests from local residents for additional money. The game includes over 150 quests and 160 minigames, with characters such as fish, sharks, turtles, mermaids, octopuses, manta rays, and seahorses. Orphanage upgrades and collected gems open new rooms. Hidden-object scenes use randomized item placement, while over 45 trophies provide additional objectives.
