Our take on Tainted Fate
The game removes the HUD entirely, showing selected abilities through the player’s hands and using visual, audio, and haptic cues instead.
What is Tainted Fate?
Play as Decarabia, a demon seeking revenge after higher-ups take his body and strip away his abilities.
Fight enemies by tearing off limbs, teleporting into foes for instant kills, slowing time, and summoning minions or explosive critters. Boss encounters offer multiple ways to defeat each opponent, and victories grant new abilities. The game has no HUD: selected abilities appear through the player’s hands, while fading colors, sound, and haptic feedback provide cues. VR options include teleportation, smooth locomotion, and a front-facing mode for seated play. The story combines a revenge plot with one-liners and offensive humor.
