Our take on T.A.R.S
The focus on survival pressure comes with little room for mistakes: ammunition and checkpoints are scarce, and some enemies can kill Samantha in one hit. That setup sacrifices forgiving recovery and sustained firefights for a more punishing objective run.
What is T.A.R.S?
Set in 2051, T.
A. R. S follows Samantha, a former nurse recruited as a medic for a mission on a remote island off the British Isles. A disease has transformed people into creatures, and the Tactics and Rescue Specialists organization aims to save humanity. The game combines third-person shooting with objective-based exploration in an open-world environment. A mini-map points to objectives as Samantha moves through the island and faces hostile creatures. Ammunition is limited, checkpoints are few, and some enemies can kill her with one hit. Samantha has limited combat training, so awareness of her surroundings is part of the challenge. Headphones are recommended.
