Our take on Pinkman
The focus on movement and trap avoidance leaves out combat, so encounters hinge on timing and reflexes rather than fighting. Its hard mode also removes checkpoints, trading forgiving retries for a stricter run through the levels.
What is Pinkman?
Pinkman is an action platform game set in a dangerous world called The Mind.
Play as a lost man and move through colorful, minimalist stages by running, jumping, climbing walls, and using farts to navigate hazards. The game has 100 hand-crafted levels and 20 types of traps, including missiles and mines. There is no combat; survival depends on speed and reflexes. Sixteen color palettes change the visuals between transitions, and the soundtrack contains ten synthwave tracks. A hard mode removes checkpoints and can be entered from the level-select screen using a specific button sequence. The stages frame movement and hazard avoidance around the character’s attempt to discover what happened and stay alive.
