Our take on Sylvio
The store framing emphasizes the curse, cult, and disturbing atmosphere, while the recording system is the more distinctive part of play. Audio analysis, static searches, and séances are not side details; they form the investigation’s main interaction loop.
What is Sylvio?
Explore an abandoned family park closed after a 1971 landslide as Juliette Waters, a ghost recorder investigating the voices of the dead.
The story follows an evil curse and a family cult still occupying the park. Gameplay combines first-person horror, open-world exploration on foot or by car, séances, searches for voices within static, and analysis of reel-to-reel recordings. Audio investigation is a central mechanic, with captured sounds providing clues to the narrative. The game offers 10–15 hours of gameplay, full controller support, and voice acting by Maia Hansson Bergqvist. Originally released in 2015, it received a remastered version through a 2016 update.
