Set during the War of Underworld arc, this action RPG follows Kirito and his companions as they confront the Dark Knight and the forces of the Dark Territory.
Combat uses fast, MMO-like battles against familiar SWORD ART ONLINE enemies. Players can assemble parties from more than 40 playable characters and build relationships through episode quests. A character creator supports personalized avatars, which can be uploaded for other players to add to their parties. Costumes and weapons can be changed visually without altering their specifications. The Deluxe Edition contains the main game and a Premium Pass with two Ritual of Bonds volumes and an Integrity Knights costume set; the pass content is scheduled for release by December 31, 2024.
