Modern mode uses hand-drawn cartoon graphics and a remastered soundtrack, while retro mode switches to pixel art, CRT effects, and chiptune music. The two presentation styles can be changed during play. The edition also includes Alpaca's Redemption, a separate bonus game where a warrior alpaca jumps, dashes, climbs, swings, and changes gravity, with abilities surrendered one at a time to the Alpaca Gods. Up to 4 friends can compete in split-screen versus play, with remote play compatibility.
