What is Super Mixtape?
Super Mixtape is a retro physics-based rhythm-puzzle-platformer built around a cassette character called Mix.
The game takes place in a reversible 2D world split into A-Sides and B-Sides, letting players flip the environment between forward and backward states. Mix can jump from either wheel, with the chosen side affecting height and distance, and can rotate during airborne movement. Progress involves crossing musical landscapes, collecting keys, opening doors, and solving level puzzles. Beat switches alter the game's audio and cause parts of levels to respond. Colour-coded beats use distinct patterns as well as colour. Zooming out reveals other sections of a puzzle, while the soundtrack develops as progression continues.
