Our take on Super Double Dragon
Rather than keeping every session at a fixed arcade pace, this action game adds speed control and optional friendly fire. The customizable screen border also changes presentation without altering its stage-based combat structure.
What is Super Double Dragon?
Super Double Dragon is a stage-based side-scrolling action game originally released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992.
Players control the twin Dragons through battles against enemies, using a Guard command to fend off attacks and building a Dragon Power gauge to trigger additional moves. Sandbags, punching bags, and other items placed throughout stages can assist during combat. Mode B enables friendly fire. This version adds five selectable wallpapers for the screen border and a play-speed setting that can reach double speed. It also brings the game to modern consoles for the first time.
