Rather than using standard JRPG battles, the game makes danger a movement challenge: Liruna must navigate hazards and monsters in real time while managing stats, supplies, and a worsening curse.
What is Succubus x Saint?
Liruna, a failed saint candidate, becomes cursed after a resurrection ritual frees a succubus and an army of sealed monsters.
From the church serving as her base, she travels to locations around the world in search of four Sealing Orbs. Exploration uses real-time movement rather than JRPG-style combat, with traps, monsters, dungeons, and other hazards to navigate. Liruna manages her stats, collects equipment and items, sells mana to the church, and purchases gear for later expeditions. The curse can worsen during exploration. Dungeons also contain outfits and accessories placed by the succubus. Layered sprites display status-related effects, and difficulty settings range from Easy to Lunatic.
