Our take on Subsiege
The oxygen system gives battles a clear survival focus, but it leaves little room for hiding or defensive play. The design trades slower positional planning for constant pressure, pursuit, and decisions about when to attack for more oxygen.
What is Subsiege?
Subsiege is a real-time tactics game set in a resource war beneath the ocean after environmental collapse has exhausted the world’s continental supplies.
Players command squads of hero-like units, choose their ability loadouts, assign team roles, and target opposing ability users. Battles center on oxygen that steadily runs out; teams can pursue opponents to take this resource. Cooperative play uses shared oxygen stores, resources, and bases, with squads coordinating battle plans against rival teams. The game focuses on 12-player matches, with timing, squad composition, and combined attacks affecting the fight. Hostile sea creatures and deep-sea worms add environmental threats. The setting includes coral formations, reefs, fish swarms, black smoker clouds, and underwater cliffs.
