What is Strain Tactics?
Strain Tactics is a real-time tactical game with pause controls.
Players deploy a 1–5-member squad from a helibase, direct soldiers with drag controls or RTS-style commands, and provide overhead support using weapons such as miniguns and autocannons. The roster includes over 80 characters with distinct personalities and traits, while more than 150 items and weapons support different equipment combinations. Missions span over 30 maps and include scenarios such as Hunter-Killer, Escort, Retrieval, and Perimeter Defence. Squad management includes leveling units, reviving fallen members, monitoring mental health, and managing alien contamination. Players can focus on positioning or directly manage individual actions during combat.
