Our take on Dustwind
Dustwind departs from real-time tactics convention by letting players pause combat to issue orders. Dogs also take on a range of battlefield tasks, including healing allies, repairing equipment, driving vehicles, and deploying defenses.
What is Dustwind?
Dustwind is a post-apocalyptic real-time tactics game with a single-player story campaign, a separate mini-campaign, multiplayer modes, and co-op missions.
Combat runs in real time, but can be paused to issue orders. Character creation supports specialist or generalist builds, and players can choose their gear. Dogs can fight, use grenades and mines, operate vehicles and mounted guns, heal allies, repair equipment, and deploy defenses. The main campaign has 16 missions and around 10 hours of gameplay. A map editor supports creating custom missions, stories, and multiplayer maps, with sharing through Steam Workshop.
